Just what is Niche Marketing?
Niche marketing involves targeting groups of people who are not served by existing sources.
You probably know that popular subjects like "dog training" is a very competitive market. This means that may people search the Internet for the phrase "dog training" and there are tons of people with sites trying to capture some of that market. That's a very competitive market.
In very competitive markets you'll find it very difficult to reach the first page of Google for a keyword like "dog training," You could, in fact, spend a lot of time and evergy optimizing your site, getting links to your site, and doing all the other things to help improve your search engine placement. But, to what effect?
Since suche keyword phrases used in searches are so competitive, those who already rank near the top are constantly working to optimize their site and continue to build ever more backlinks to their site. It's a never ending struggle to stay on top.
So, unless you are the super guru of optimization you stand very little change of breaking in to such a competitive market.
So, what is the solution for someone just trying to break in to Internet marketing?
The answer is simple. Avoid the highly competitive keyword phrases and find phrases that get a moderate number of searches but have little or no competition for the top spots in Google and other search engines.
This is what is all about.
